Friends of Music

LessonMusic is the social act of communication among people, a gesture of friendship, the strongest there is. -Malcolm Arnold

Recently, I read this quote and my thoughts turned to my experiences in music and at CMU. There is something unique and enduring about making music with others. There is the amazing potential to create something great – perhaps something greater than the sum of its parts. It is this connection to music, the coming together of disparate people to work together to make something that none could do alone, that helps us maintain a strong bond within the music program at Central.

You are part of our tradition of excellence. No matter your connection to the program - alumnus, friend, parent, audience member, supporter - you are part of the tradition. It takes all of us to keep this tradition alive.

Your contributions have helped make the music department at Central Methodist University one of the leading providers of music education in our state. We are so grateful to you for supporting us as we work to keep up with trends in music and education while still staying true to our heritage.

Your gift of $100, $500, $1,000, or $10,000 can make all the difference… to our bands, our choirs, our opera program, our professors - but most importantly, to our students.

Please consider making as generous a gift as you can. Your donation will help us continue to
develop the bonds that can only be created through music-making. Your support will enable us to provide fantastic musical experiences and education at CMU.

Thank you so much for your help.
